A glimpse into the strategy...
so over the next 4 months if I want to loose 60 lbs I have to go in debt to my body 210,000 calories (1 lb fat = 3500), roughly 1750 calories a day. At 600 calories an hour, I am not impressed with cardio, especially because it has an effect of lowering my basal metabolic rate. At roughly 1500-1800 calories a day eating, that means I need to get my total caloric expenditure up to , say, 3300 calories a day. I am betting on high intensity interval training and resistance training to have an effect on my metabolism. I am not betting on doing over 700 hours of cardio. The last three weeks or so I will have to switch to a more catabolic and extremly low calorie diet to spare down any excess muscle I have gained.here is an article that is informing my thinking, and my high stakes bet: http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=1526539
